Dr Dao is a miracle worker! I have suffered from double vision since I was three years old and have been wearing glasses or contacts my entire life. I am 86 years old and my double vision became so bad that I could barely drive. I was referred to Dr Dao by my ophthalmologist And I am so pleased with the results of the surgery I could jump up and down. I no longer have to wear glasses or contacts I can see perfectly. Dr. Lori Dao is definitely a 5-STAR+ Eye Surgeon. Prior to meeting Dr. Dao, I had Ocular Decompression surgery (due to thyroid disease). I then needed to have Strabismus surgery, to align my eyes for proper vision alignment. Dr. Dao was very methodical about her approach for my vision correction. She guided me through the steps to make her surgery successful. With an updated C/T scan she was able to correctly pinpoint her approach for my surgery. Up to the point of meeting Dr. Dao, I had had 2 previous eye surgeries within a year. I was reluctant to have another eye surgery, but this Strabismus surgery was necessary for me to not have double vision. With all of the details outlined for the surgery by Dr. Dao and her staff, I proceeded with confidence. By far, this Strabismus surgery was the easiest surgery- no pain, and complete correction of alignment immediately. I followed her guidelines and I am so happy and relieved that my vision alignment is restored. On a side note- Dr. Dao and her Staff are approachable, efficient and professional. I have been dealing with Strabismus for several years. I went through a really hard time in California finding anyone to help me. When I moved to Texas I was fortunate enough to be referred to a Dr. at UT Southwestern who recommended Dr. Dao. I knew I wanted surgery. I was so please that I found Dr. Dao. She was so awesome. She answered all my questions and put my mind at ease. I really wasn't scared going into the surgery. After surgery I had quite a bit of discomfort due to stitches and instead of making me suffer through a whole weekend, she let me come in the same day on a Friday. That is going above and beyond. I saw her yesterday after a little over a month since surgery. I gave her a hug because her procedure has had a profound effect on my life. I CAN SEE STRAIGHT! I don't need an eye patch. It feels like a miracle. I want to recommend her and her staff whole heartedly. I am not a review writer but in this case I make an exception for this exceptional doctor and human being. Dr Dao and her staff are wonderful. Her expertise and skill combined with her careful follow ups have made a dramatic improvement in my son’s vision. She gives thorough pre-op, surgical and post-op instructions. She makes herself available for concerns (from a worried Mom!) and has been leading us down the right healing path every step of the way. My son can play baseball and read better than before and we are ever so grateful for Dr. Dao. My son has been seeing Dr. Dao since he was about 2 years old. She is by far the best doctor. She is the most caring, thoughtful Dr. She takes her time with us, explains everything. You can truly tell she has a heart of gold and loves all of her patients. I am forever grateful for her going beyond loops to get my son the best care he needs due to his eye disability. She has hugged me and literally let me cry on her shoulder when i was still taking in his diagnosis. Now my son is 11 years old and i can truly say Dr Dao has always been there for us when we needed her! I wish all of our drs was as caring as her!
